Artist Statement
I am a passionate and dedicated artist, deeply inspired by vibrant colors, found objects, and classical artists who paved the way for the rest of us. My work explores the intersection of reality and imagination, transforming the ordinary into expressions of emotion and thought. I aspire to create experiences and invite self-reflection. On a normal day, I’m learning new skills and chasing knowledge, so I can better translate intention into polished works of art.
About the Artist
Fio Lombardi was born in Peru in 1982 but relocated to the United States in the late 90s. While her education and professional work experience are primarily in the Software Development industry, she began developing her artistic skills since an early age, completing coursework at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Art Instruction Schools with a focus on Illustration and Multimedia Design.
In early 2023, after building a successful career in Tech, she began working with oils through the Evolve Artist online program. It was, through this experience, that she realized there was more she could achieve through her artistic abilities and decided to pursue this passion more seriously.
Nowadays, Fio continues to further her experience as an artist and teacher. She is currently working on developing a body of work out of her home studio in Atlanta, GA. Her work can be found at exhibits around the United States.
A distinctive feature of Fio’s works is the meticulous attention to detail, achieved through the application of bold, vibrant colors and a masterful approach to light and shadow.
