Artist Statement
I am a passionate and dedicated artist, deeply inspired by vibrant colors, found objects, and classical artists who paved the way for the rest of us. My work explores the intersection of reality and imagination, transforming the ordinary into expressions of emotion and thought. I aspire to create experiences and invite self-reflection. On a normal day, I’m learning new skills and chasing knowledge, so I can better translate intention into polished works of art.
About the Artist
Fio Lombardi was born in Peru but relocated to the United States in the 90s. While her education and professional work experience is primarily in the Technology field, she began developing her artistic skills since a very early age, completing coursework at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Art Instruction Schools with a focus on Illustration and Multimedia Design.
In early 2023, she began working with oils and completed the Evolve Artist Training program, under the instruction of master artist, Kevin Murphy. Through this program, Fio developed a passion for realism. A distinctive feature of Fio’s works is the meticulous attention to detail, achieved through the application of bold, vibrant colors and a masterful approach to light and shadow.
